     OAG stated that, despite recording an increase in passengers compared to the previous week, compared to January 20, 2020, the size of the Vietnamese aviation market has decreased by 31.4% due to the impact of the Covid pandemic- 19.

     According to data from the air travel data provider - OAG, the Vietnamese aviation market recorded a growth of 117,000 passengers in the latest week, reaching a total of 1,072,977 passengers per week. Thus, Vietnam's aviation has reached the top 10 of the largest aviation markets in the world.

     Accordingly, Chinese airlines lead the ranking with more than 16 million passengers per week. It is followed by the United States with more than 15 million visitors per week.

     In general, in the world, the total passenger volume of airlines has decreased 35% compared to the same period in 2020 and decreased 44% compared to the same period in 2019 due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic. As for passenger volume in Southeast Asia, the size of Vietnam's aviation market is second only to Indonesia, a country with a population of 270 million, 3 times higher than Vietnam's population.

     In the latest week, Indonesia's aviation market served more than 2 million passengers, double that of Vietnamese airlines. Thailand is the country with the number of visitors flying in the last week ranking 3 in the region. Specifically, in the latest week, the Thai aviation market reached 661,171 arrivals, down 68.5% compared to the previous Covid-19 translation.
